What is an underground downspout drain?
A pipe buried from the base of the downspout to a discharge point — a pop-up emitter in the lawn, a storm drain, or daylight on a slope — so roof water leaves the house without a hose lying across the yard. It keeps the water away from the foundation and the walkway, and it is the tidy version of a downspout extension.
